Reno swingers will sometimes feel an element of guilt. Why do we feel this way when we are engaging in a consenting act with other adults? With our partner’s blessings, why do swingers sometimes feel as if they are doing something unacceptable? To tackle the problem of guilt, we must first discover its roots.
What was our upbringing? What were our family's views about 'family values'? Were our parents conservative? Were our parents open, yet still advocates of the traditional model of monogamy?
Lifestyle guilt usually results from upbringing or societal norms that are impressed on us. For example, mainstream society dictates that we must live an honest life and value family. With that comes the expectation of monogamy. If a swinger has been affected by any of these things, it may be the root of the guilt.
